Project case study
Offshore substations required robust and reliable fire protection systems capable of operating in the demanding conditions of the Baltic Sea. As critical infrastructure supporting one of the Baltic Sea’s first offshore wind developments, the systems needed to provide dependable fire detection and suppression while meeting strict offshore safety and operational requirements.
Working within a complex construction programme, the project also required a fully integrated solution that could be efficiently delivered across design, manufacture, installation and commissioning phases, while ensuring long term reliability and ease of maintenance in a harsh offshore environment.
Blaze Manufacturing Solutions delivered a complete fire alarm and extinguishing system package for the offshore substations, providing fully engineered fire protection tailored to the operational requirements of the assets.
The solution incorporated advanced fire detection, suppression and control technologies designed to protect personnel, critical equipment and operational continuity. Systems were engineered specifically for offshore conditions, with a focus on reliability, durability and rapid response capability.
From initial design and engineering through to procurement, installation support and commissioning, Blaze worked closely with project stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across all phases of the project.
The completed systems now provide comprehensive fire protection for the offshore substations, supporting the safe and reliable generation of renewable energy in the Baltic Sea.
This demonstrates a deep understanding of the fire safety requirements and presents a compelling solution that aligns with the project goals. With our experience in the offshore wind sector and our commitment to quality and safety this gave our client the confidence to select Blaze for this critical aspect of the project.
